Esmeralda Resort - Orient Bay - Cul de Sac

Consider asking for a room in a villa that has recently been renovated for an updated experience.

Spacious rooms, huge king-size bed, beautiful spacious grounds

Very simple breakfast, horrible coffee, no umbrellas for the deck chairs at the pool, construction site at the beach in front of the hotel

The location is perfect, with the beautiful Orient Bay just a short walk away. The lush gardens and well-maintained grounds provided a peaceful atmosphere, and I loved spending time at the pool, which reminded me of a private oasis. The staff were attentive.

The seating areas could be improved.

The hotel facilities are very good, the location is privileged. The village style is wonderful for beach vacations. The bed was very comfortable, the air-conditioning worked very well and the cleaniness of the room was ok.

Despite of the good things, the Hotel does not have WiFi in every room (as it is advertised in the site), and the continental breakfast is very very poor. There is internet connection only in the lobby, and the bandwith is very bad, so it's almost impossible to even use it. Regarding breakfast, they charge you for yogurt and cereal, what I think is very bad taste after paying 300usd/night, and saying that the breakfast is included.

Has not been maintained for 15 plus years. Rotting wood, curtains falling down, old cabinets, outdoor umbrella torn, front office rarely open, cleaning only once. Left knitting and they did not bother to look when called.

See above. Would not recommend as we were there years ago and it was nice. Seems like they just want to squeeze what the can out of it and not put any upkeep into i .

Charming, charming, charming.

The beach access was just a quick stroll away, offering those amazing views of crystal-clear waters. The spacious Superior King Room seemed like my personal haven, and I couldn't get enough of the delicious meals at the Astrolabe restaurant!

The location couldn't be better. You are steps away from the nicest part of Orient Beach. There is a wonderful beach restaurant/bar, Coco Beach. The rooms are spacious and there is a pool for every 5-6 rooms. The grounds are lovely.

The included breakfast is not very good. I don't like having to go to reception every day to exchange my beach towel. The wifi in the room didn't work at all.

Lots of options for reasonably priced breakfast.

The breakfast spread had some delicious bread and pastries that had me coming back for more! Plus, the lovely grounds and helpful staff. Easy access to nearby cafés like Good Morning Cafe was a real treat.

The beautifully maintained gardens and colonial architecture reminded me of a tropical paradise. The proximity to the beach allowed for easy access to the lovely, clear waters.

More accessible seating areas would be appreciated.
